A little while back, I went to Paris with my friend Jane. Instead of seeing the typical tourist sites and monuments the city is known for, she took me to a series of artists’ studios, up winding steps and beyond closed court yard doors. Each was a more romantic garret than the next -- straight out of history book on the life of Matisse or Giacometti. What a fabulous way to experience Paris in a whole different light!
In the studio of Denis Polge, I fell in love with a Noah’s Ark of plaster animal sculptures and thought it would be fun to share them with YOU!
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Cheers,
D.
