I am really proud of this floral fantasy of an art installation that was also, by the way, a pop-up store! We and our great friends at Target launched the Liberty of London for Target line last week at the corner of 6th Avenue and 42nd Street in New York City on what were possibly the first two gorgeous spring days of this year’s spring. I think the perfect weather helped, but the product was an incredible draw, and the people responded in droves. About 12,000 people visited us in those two days, and left with bags and bags of fresh, happy items for their homes and their wardrobes. In fact, we closed the store two days early because we ran out of product!
This was an amazing project for the senses. Thousands of fresh flowers mingled with the iconic prints on the product while ever moving, animated flowers layered the experience. A 10 foot tall shirt, an 8 foot mug, a huge umbrella grand enough to shield a whole family from the rain – all these elements hosted the projections, defying reality with an Alice In Wonderland sense of scale.
We have a little video to share with you. It’s a lot of fun to experience the installation this way rather than in still photos. Let us know what you think!

Great work David — I just put the pieces together from the RISD eviews. I was at the Target pop-up shop and was blown away by the freshness and beauty (for the eyes as will as the nose). Congratulations!

I'm a little late to this party but if I were to dream up a fantasy world to live in forever - this would be it. Just Lovely! Even dreamier than the pop-up you did for Target's Simply Shabby Chic line several years back...if that's even possible. Thanks for sharing! You're all tremendously creative! xo, Emily
