One of the things about going to the Rhode Island School of Design is that you are surrounded by -- and then for the rest of your life inspired by your friends and classmates. Case in point, my buddy Rick Rodgers is a brilliant film-maker, and he and his company Mechanizedmules make some of the most beautiful and interesting films around. As a friend, I am so proud of him as his films break through important festivals like Tribeca and Sundance with such amazing reaction.
Here is a short film he created recently, a music “video” created for the song TODO by the performer Migguel Anggelo. The cinematography and imagery are stunning, and take note of the ballet action at the end by Migguel. HOT.
