My buddy John Morse is having a show in Atlanta at the Wm Turner Gallery, called “Inside.” If you are going to be in town, you should definitely go check it out! Alas, if you are like me, and can’t get your booty over to Atlanta in time, you will have to fall in love with these images (as I have). Totally cool.

The main installation consists of 15 mobiles, each with three identical figures suspended from a 20 foot ceiling, and all are slightly larger than life size. Wafer thin and cut from mylar, the slightest movement causes them to spin and shimmy, and because they are reflective, the viewer becomes part of the image. The piece finds the space between two and three dimensions – there are 45 figures filling up a 3,000 square foot space, but each is so thin that stacked, they only amount to one-one hundredth of an inch thick! As John states, “Volume from something without volume!”

Me? I am always attracted to something from nothing.
LOVE it.
Love John.
